Lily Fossel – Housing Counselor

Get to know Lily:

What do you actually do all day?  Juggle for the most part.

What is the best part of your job? Seeing the tangible results of our work in the lives of the people we serve: the worry wiped away in the completion of a tax return, the self-assurance of someone completing a Homebuyer Education class, the relief of someone searching for housing when they realize there is someone trying to help.

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why? The ability to stop time, to catch up on an ever-growing To Do List. Also so each day could be filled with infinite spontaneous movie breaks.

What does “HOME” mean to you?  The place my books and my dog live.

If your House could talk, what would it say about you? “For God’s sake, would it kill you to swiffer a bit?”
If you could have dinner with any community activist, past or present, who would it be? What would you ask him or her?  Melinda Gates. I’d love to here her thoughts on the evolution of the non-profit sector as we adapt to create more sustainable funding models and what she sees as the most effective intervention points for philanthropic and programmatic work in a number of different causes.
